Yoga on the Lawn

  • Olveston Historic Home 42 Royal Terrace Dunedin, Otago, 9016 New Zealand (map)

Meet: 7.30 am | 42 Royal Terrace

Join us for a special ‘Pop-up Yoga on the Lawn’ at Olveston Historic Home in the breathtaking Garden of National Significance, as we celebrate Jo Woolley’s 10-Year Yoga Teaching Journey!

Some of you will remember those early days when she first held classes in the Drying Room at Olveston, surrounded by the serene beauty of this historic garden and its abundant birdlife.

Dorothy Theomin, who generously gifted Olveston and its collections to Dunedin in 1966, lived a rich and adventurous life. A true pioneer, she was a member of the New Zealand Alpine Club, climbing extensively in the Southern Alps between 1914 and 1933. She also rode with the Otago Hunt Club and was an accomplished golfer. Jo imagines Dorothy would smile upon our adventurous spirit as we embrace movement and mindfulness with Yoga on the Lawn.

It’s easy to see why Olveston’s garden is considered one of New Zealand’s finest. Come experience it for yourself in this special free class!

Whether you’re looking to connect with nature, deepen your yoga practice, or simply enjoy a rejuvenating morning out, this event is perfect for all! Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat and water bottle.
